Enhance your email signature by adding social media icons. Discover step-by-step instructions to turn every email into a powerful marketing tool.

Connecting your Instagram and Facebook through Meta Business Suite is one of the biggest workflow upgrades you can make as a social media manager. It's what transforms juggling two separate platforms into commanding a single, unified presence. This guide gives you the direct, step-by-step instructions to link your accounts, plus some tips on what to do right after you get connected.
Before jumping into the "how," it's important to understand the "why." Connecting these accounts isn't just a nice-to-have organization hack, it unlocks powerful features that can save you time and improve your overall marketing efforts.
To make the connection process as smooth as possible, run through this quick checklist. Addressing these few things beforehand will prevent most common connection errors.
The best way to link your accounts is directly through the Meta Business Suite dashboard on a desktop computer. It's the most reliable method and immediately gives you access to the desktop features.
First, log in to your Meta Business Suite. In the bottom-left corner of the sidebar, you'll find a gear icon labeled "Settings." Click on it to open up all your business settings.
Inside the Settings menu, you'll see another sidebar. Look for an option called Business assets under the "Assets" header. This is where all the pages, ad accounts, and profiles tied to your business are listed. Click it.
In the main Business assets screen, you'll see everything currently connected. At the top right, find and click the blue button that says "Add assets." A dropdown menu will appear. From this menu, select "Instagram account."
A pop-up will appear explaining what linking the account allows. You'll need to accept the terms for connecting your Instagram account. Read them over and click "Claim Instagram account."
Now, a new window will pop up prompting you to log in to Instagram. Don't worry, this is a secure login window from Meta. Enter the username and password for the Instagram Business or Creator account you wish to connect. If you have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled, be ready to check a text message or an Authenticator app for a security code.
After a successful login, you may see one or two screens asking you to confirm which Ad Accounts and Pages you give access to. Follow the on-screen prompts until you see a confirmation message that says, "Instagram account connected"! That's it. Both accounts are now officially linked in Meta Business Suite.
Your workflow is immediately much simpler. To get a feel for how much easier things are, here are a few things to take for a spin:
