It’s a frustrating moment for any business owner or social media manager: you go to check on your Facebook Page, but you can’t seem to find it. Whether you’ve taken a break, a team member left, or you’re simply not seeing it where you expect, the feeling can be slightly panicked. This guide is here to walk you through every possible way to find your Facebook Page, from the simplest checks to more advanced recovery steps.
Before we start looking, it’s helpful to understand what "can't find my page" means for your specific situation. Are you trying to find it as an admin on the backend, or can you just not see it publicly in a Facebook search? Knowing the answer helps narrow down the solutions.
We'll tackle them all. Let’s start with the most common and easiest fixes first.
Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one. Before getting technical, let’s cover the obvious.
Practically every Facebook Page is created by and linked to a personal Facebook profile. If you're logged into the correct profile, you should be able to find it directly from your navigation menu.
If you don’t see “Pages” on the main menu, click your own profile picture in the top-right corner, then select “See all profiles.” All of your personal profiles and the Pages you manage should appear in a grid. You can switch to managing your Page from there.
It's possible that you have access to the page, but not as an admin. Different roles have different levels of permission. If a business partner or a former team member set up the page and only gave you "Editor" or "Analyst" access, it might not show up in your main navigation in the same way.
If you discover you're no longer listed or your role has been downgraded, you'll need to contact one of the current admins to have your permissions restored. This often happens after team changes or if an outside marketing agency’s access was accidentally revoked.
If the above methods don’t work, your Page may not simply be lost - it might be hidden due to its settings. Here are the most frequent culprits.
An unpublished Page is invisible to the public and won’t appear in search results, even for admins. A Page can be unpublished manually (maybe by mistake) or automatically by Facebook if it violates policies.
Applying restrictions makes your Page invisible to anyone who doesn't meet the criteria. For instance, if you set an age-gate for 21 and over, a person under 21 (or anyone not logged into Facebook) won't be able to find it.
Remember, if you are a manager and you're traveling in a restricted country, you may not be able to see your own Page. A VPN could help in that scenario.
Did your business rebrand recently? If you successfully changed your Page's name, you simply might be searching for the old one. If you merged it with another page, the original Page URL and name are gone, and you’ll need to find it under the name of the Page it was merged into.
This is a trickier situation. Maybe an ex-employee who refuses to hand over admin rights created the page, or perhaps you just forgot the login profile's credentials. The Page isn't lost, just your access to it is.
If you've forgotten the password to the personal profile that runs the page, use Facebook's standard account recovery flow. Go to the Facebook login page and click "Forgotten password?". Follow the prompts using the email address or phone number associated with that account.
If the admin is an ex-employee or otherwise unreachable, getting access is difficult but not impossible. It typically involves proving your ownership of the business to Facebook. You will likely need:
The process is initiated through the Facebook Business Help Center. Be prepared for it to take a while, as Facebook representatives have to manually review the evidence.
Losing track of your Facebook Page can be stressful, but it's usually solvable by walking through these logical steps. In most cases, the Page is simply hidden due to a setting, or it's connected to a personal profile you weren’t expecting. Systematically check each possibility before concluding it's gone for good.
