How to Find My Facebook Page

By Spencer Lanoue
October 31, 2025

It’s a frustrating moment for any business owner or social media manager: you go to check on your Facebook Page, but you can’t seem to find it. Whether you’ve taken a break, a team member left, or you’re simply not seeing it where you expect, the feeling can be slightly panicked. This guide is here to walk you through every possible way to find your Facebook Page, from the simplest checks to more advanced recovery steps.

First, Let's Pin Down Exactly What's Happening

Before we start looking, it’s helpful to understand what "can't find my page" means for your specific situation. Are you trying to find it as an admin on the backend, or can you just not see it publicly in a Facebook search? Knowing the answer helps narrow down the solutions.

  • Scenario 1: You can't find the Page in search. Neither you, your friends, nor your customers can see the Page when they search for its name on Facebook.
  • Scenario 2: You can’t find the Page in your admin account. You are logged into your personal Facebook profile, but the Page you manage is not showing up in your list of managed Pages.
  • Scenario 3: You lost your login credentials. You know the Page exists, but you can’t remember the email or password for the personal profile that has admin access.

We'll tackle them all. Let’s start with the most common and easiest fixes first.

How to Find Your Disappeared Facebook Page

Method 1: Start with the Basic Search

Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one. Before getting technical, let’s cover the obvious.

  • Search Directly on Facebook: Use the search bar at the top of Facebook to type in the exact name of your Page. Facebook's search algorithm can be picky. If you've recently changed the name, try searching for the old name as well. For better results, filter the search results by selecting "Pages" on the left-hand menu.
  • Ask a Friend to Search: Have a friend, colleague, or customer try searching for the Page from their own account. This helps determine if the issue is with your account or if the Page is truly invisible to everyone.
  • Check Your Browser History: If you've visited your Page recently from a desktop browser, your browsing history might hold a direct link. Try searching your history (`Ctrl+H` on PC or `Cmd+Y` on Mac) for your Page name or "Facebook."
  • Look at Other Online Assets: Where else have you linked to your Facebook Page? Check the footer of your website, your email signature, your business cards, or even old posts on your Instagram or X (Twitter) accounts. Finding an old link can get you straight there.

Method 2: Check Your Personal Profile's Page Connections

Practically every Facebook Page is created by and linked to a personal Facebook profile. If you're logged into the correct profile, you should be able to find it directly from your navigation menu.

From a Desktop Computer:

  1. Log in to the personal Facebook profile that serves as the admin for the Page.
  2. Look at the main menu on the left side of your screen. You should see a section called "Your shortcuts" or a link directly titled "Pages."
  3. Click on "Pages" (you may see an icon that looks like a flag).
  4. This will bring you to a screen that lists all the Facebook Pages you own or manage. Your missing Page should be listed here.

If you don’t see “Pages” on the main menu, click your own profile picture in the top-right corner, then select “See all profiles.” All of your personal profiles and the Pages you manage should appear in a grid. You can switch to managing your Page from there.

From the Facebook Mobile App:

  1. Open the Facebook app and log in.
  2. Tap on your profile picture or the hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Tap on the down arrow next to your name to see all of your connected profiles and Pages.
  4. Alternatively, you can tap on the "Pages" shortcut, which usually shows up in your main menu grid.

Method 3: Review Page Roles & Permissions

It's possible that you have access to the page, but not as an admin. Different roles have different levels of permission. If a business partner or a former team member set up the page and only gave you "Editor" or "Analyst" access, it might not show up in your main navigation in the same way.

How to check your Page role:

  1. Navigate to the Page directly (using a link if you have one).
  2. If you have any management access at all, you'll see a white "Manage" button near the top. Click it.
  3. This will take you to the Professional Dashboard. In the left-hand menu, look for "Page Access."
  4. Here you can see everyone who has access to the Page and what their role is. If your access level is anything less than "Admin," you won't be able to do certain things, like add other users or change the Page name. This could be part of the confusion.

If you discover you're no longer listed or your role has been downgraded, you'll need to contact one of the current admins to have your permissions restored. This often happens after team changes or if an outside marketing agency’s access was accidentally revoked.

Troubleshooting: Common Reasons a Page Becomes "Invisible"

If the above methods don’t work, your Page may not simply be lost - it might be hidden due to its settings. Here are the most frequent culprits.

1. The Page is Unpublished

An unpublished Page is invisible to the public and won’t appear in search results, even for admins. A Page can be unpublished manually (maybe by mistake) or automatically by Facebook if it violates policies.

How to Check and Republish Your Page:

  1. As a Page admin, go to your Page dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > General Settings.
  3. The very first setting you'll see is "Page Visibility."
  4. If it says "Page unpublished," this is your problem.
  5. Click "Edit," select "Page published," and save the changes. The Page should become visible to the public within a few minutes.

2. Age or Country Restrictions Are Enabled

Applying restrictions makes your Page invisible to anyone who doesn't meet the criteria. For instance, if you set an age-gate for 21 and over, a person under 21 (or anyone not logged into Facebook) won't be able to find it.

Where to Find These Settings:

  1. In your Page's Settings > General Settings.
  2. Look for the "Country Restrictions" and "Age Restrictions" fields.
  3. Review what’s there. To make your Page globally visible, make sure no countries are explicitly blocked and that the age restriction is set to "Public" or "Anyone (13+)."

Remember, if you are a manager and you're traveling in a restricted country, you may not be able to see your own Page. A VPN could help in that scenario.

3. You Changed the Page Name or Merged Pages

Did your business rebrand recently? If you successfully changed your Page's name, you simply might be searching for the old one. If you merged it with another page, the original Page URL and name are gone, and you’ll need to find it under the name of the Page it was merged into.

What To Do If You Can't Access the Admin Account

This is a trickier situation. Maybe an ex-employee who refuses to hand over admin rights created the page, or perhaps you just forgot the login profile's credentials. The Page isn't lost, just your access to it is.

Recovering the Account via Facebook

If you've forgotten the password to the personal profile that runs the page, use Facebook's standard account recovery flow. Go to the Facebook login page and click "Forgotten password?". Follow the prompts using the email address or phone number associated with that account.

Requesting Admin Access (If the original Admin is gone)

If the admin is an ex-employee or otherwise unreachable, getting access is difficult but not impossible. It typically involves proving your ownership of the business to Facebook. You will likely need:

  • Your full name and a link to your personal Facebook profile.
  • A link to the Page you wish to claim.
  • A signed statement explaining your relationship to the page and why access needs to be transferred.
  • Official business documents, like a business license, utility bill in the business name, or trademark registration.

The process is initiated through the Facebook Business Help Center. Be prepared for it to take a while, as Facebook representatives have to manually review the evidence.

Final Thoughts

Losing track of your Facebook Page can be stressful, but it's usually solvable by walking through these logical steps. In most cases, the Page is simply hidden due to a setting, or it's connected to a personal profile you weren’t expecting. Systematically check each possibility before concluding it's gone for good.
