How to Find Business Admin on a Facebook Page

Trying to figure out who's running the show on a Facebook Page can feel like a bit of a mystery, but it doesn't have to be. Whether you're a new team member needing to see who else has the keys, or you're trying to contact the person in charge of another brand's page, you can find what you need with a few simple steps. This guide will walk you through exactly how to find the business admin on any Facebook Page, both for pages you manage and for ones you don't.

Why Would You Need to Find a Page Admin?

Before we get into the "how," let's quickly touch on the "why," as your motivation changes your method. Understanding your goal will help you choose the right path forward. You might be looking for a Page Admin because:

  • You need to request access: You're a new employee, contractor, or agency partner who needs to post content, run ads, or manage comments.
  • You need to make changes: You already have a role on the page, but you need admin-level permissions to add a new team member, change the page name, or connect a third-party app.
  • You're trying to collaborate: You want to reach out to another brand for a partnership, giveaway, or cross-promotion and need to get in touch with a decision-maker.
  • You need to report an issue: You've found a problem with a business's product or service and want to escalate it beyond standard customer service.
  • You have a business inquiry: You might be looking to acquire the business, offer a service, or ask a question that requires a manager's attention.

If you're in the first two boats - working directly with the page - the process is straightforward. If you're an outsider, it requires a little more detective work. Let's cover both scenarios.

How to Find Page Admins if You Already Have Access

If you have any level of access to the Facebook Page (even as an analyst or moderator), you can easily see a full list of everyone else who has a role. Meta has consolidated most page management tools into the Meta Business Suite, so this is where you'll typically find what you're looking for.

The exact steps can vary slightly depending on whether your Page is using the "New Pages Experience" or the classic layout, but the general path is the same.

Step-by-Step Guide for the New Pages Experience

Most pages have been migrated to this newer layout. Here’s how to find the admins:

  1. Log in to Facebook: Make sure you're logged into the personal profile that has been granted access to the Page.
  2. Switch to Your Page's Profile: In the top right corner, click your profile picture and select "See all profiles." Choose the Page you want to manage. Your interface should now switch so you are navigating Facebook as the Page.
  3. Go to Page Settings: Once you're viewing as the Page, click your Page’s profile picture in the top right again, then select Settings &, Privacy >, Settings.
  4. Navigate to "New Pages Experience": In the left-hand menu of the settings page, click on New Pages Experience. This is where modern Page roles are managed.
  5. View "Page Access": Here, you will see a section called "People with Facebook access." This list shows everyone who can manage the Page directly from Facebook. Look for the names with "Full control" - these are your primary admins. You will also see "People with task access," which are roles with specific permissions, like creating content or viewing insights.

On this screen, you can clearly see a list of names. The individuals who have "full control" have the highest level of permissions, equivalent to the traditional Admin role. If you need something changed that you don't have permission for, these are the people you need to contact.

What About Meta Business Suite?

Alternatively, if you manage the Page through a Business Account (also known as a Business Portfolio), the roles are assigned a bit differently. These are typically used by agencies or larger businesses to manage assets like Pages, ad accounts, and a list of authorized users.

  1. Go directly to Meta Business Suite.
  2. Select the correct Business Account from the dropdown on the top left if you manage more than one.
  3. Click the All tools hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) on the left sidebar.
  4. Select Business Settings.
  5. Under the "Users" section, click on People. This will give you a list of every individual with access to the Business Account. Click on a specific person's name to see which assets (including your Facebook Page) they are assigned to and what level of control they have. The people with "Full control" over the Page asset are your admins.

The Business Suite is the more formal, centralized way to manage permissions, and if your organization is using it, this is the most accurate place to check.

The Detective Work: How to Find the Admin of a Page You *Don't* Manage

This is where things get tricky. For privacy and security reasons, Facebook does not publicly list a Page's admins. You can't just click a button and see who's behind the curtain. However, you can use the information available on the Page itself to find the right person to contact. Think of yourself as a friendly detective.

Method 1: Check the "About" and "Page Transparency" Sections

This should always be your first stop. On the Page's main navigation menu, click About.

  • General Information: Sometimes, especially for smaller businesses or personal brands, the "About" section will explicitly name the founder or manager. Look for story blurbs, mission statements, or general contact info that might give a name.
  • Page Transparency: This is a goldmine. On the left side of the "About" page, there's a box titled "Page Transparency." Click See All. This will show you key information like the date the Page was created and, most importantly, the name of the legal organization that owns it. You might see "Owner: [Some Company, LLC]." This won't give you a person's name, but knowing the registered business name is a powerful starting point for further research on Google or LinkedIn.

Method 2: Use the Website and Email Links

Most business pages exist to drive traffic somewhere else - usually a website. Back on the "About" section or on the Page's main header, look for a website link or a direct email address contact button. This is your most direct route to finding a human being.

  • Visit the website: Once you're on their site, look for an "About Us," "Our Team," or "Contact" page. Larger businesses often list their leadership team. For smaller ones, the contact email (like info@theircompany.com) will likely go to a small group of people, including the person running the social media page.
  • Address your email correctly: When you send an email, a generic inquiry might get a generic response. Instead, be specific. Use a subject line like "Facebook Page Inquiry" or "Collaboration Request via Facebook" to help get your message routed to the correct person.

Method 3: Engage Directly on the Page

If you can't find off-platform contact info, your next best bet is to engage directly. The people you reach will be, by definition, the ones managing the page.

  • Send a Direct Message: Use the "Message" button on the Page. This is the most professional and private way to start. Keep your message clear and concise. State your reason for reaching out (e.g., "Hi, I'm reaching out from [Your Company] regarding a potential collaboration. Could you please direct me to the best person to speak with about social media partnerships?").
  • Leave a Public Comment: This is a bolder, less private option, but it can work if you don't get a response via Messenger. Find a recent, relevant post and leave a polite comment. Say something like, "Great post! We'd love to chat with your social media manager about a project. Is there a good contact email we could use?" Someone monitoring the Page will almost certainly see it.

Method 4: Do Some LinkedIn Sleuthing

Once you know the company's name from the Page Transparency section, you can use that information on LinkedIn. Search for the company and then look at its list of employees. Search for job titles like:

  • Social Media Manager
  • Digital Marketing Manager
  • Content Creator
  • Founder or Owner (for smaller businesses)
  • Marketing Coordinator

This is an incredibly effective way to find the exact person responsible for the company's social media presence. Simply finding their name is often enough, as you can go back to the company's website with a targeted email guess, like firstname@companydomain.com.

Final Thoughts

To recap, finding a Facebook Page admin is simple if you have internal access - just head to your Page Settings and check under "New Pages Experience" or "Page Access." If you're on the outside, a bit of detective work is needed. Start with the Page Transparency section to find the owner's legal name, and use the website, email, and direct messaging features to make contact. With a little diligence, you'll usually find the right person.

Keeping track of who has access and collaborating effectively is a small but important part of a good social media workflow.
