  • Here, you will see a list of people with access and their assigned roles. If your name is listed with "Full control" or Admin access, you’re good to go.

If you aren't an Admin, you'll need to contact an existing Admin and ask them to either grant you Admin privileges or delete the page themselves.

2. Announce the Change to Your Audience (If Applicable)

  3. Navigate to Privacy: On the left-hand menu, click on "Privacy."
  4. Select Facebook Page Information: On the following screen, also on the left, click "Facebook Page Information."
  5. Find Deactivation and Deletion: Scroll to the bottom of the options in the main window. You will see a row labeled "Deactivation and Deletion." Click "View" next to it.
  6. Choose "Delete Page": You'll be presented with two options: Deactivate Page (which is temporary and makes your page invisible) and Delete Page (which is permanent). Select "Delete Page" and click "Continue."

Problem: The Page Belongs to a Meta Business Suite

If a page is connected to a Meta Business Account or Business Suite, it becomes part of a larger ecosystem, which adds an extra layer of protection.

Solution: You will need to remove the page from the Meta Business Suite first. Navigate to your Meta Business settings, select the business the page belongs to, and then go to "Business settings." From there, look for "Pages" under "Accounts," select the Page you want to remove, and click "Remove." After it has been removed from the Business Manager, you can go back and follow the previous steps to delete it.

Problem: My Page is "Grayed Out," and I Can't Remove It Myself

This is a subtle but important distinction related to the Meta Business Suite. You can own a business profile, but the Meta Business Manager may still "own" the actual Page asset, and your profile does not.

This is done inside Business Manager settings under “Pages,” where an admin should be able to assign ownership back to your personal account. Once your profile owns the page again directly, the "delete" button should become available.
